A new NHL 23 update 1.30 (patch 1.3) is now available for PS4, PS5, and Xbox One players. According to the official NHL 23 1.30 patch notes, the latest update added Cross-Platform Matchmaking to the game. This will give you the ability to match up against any opposing team within your console generation, Cross-Platform Matchmaking will reduce wait times by increasing the size of player pools in Hockey Ultimate Team and World of Chel. In addition, NHL 23 patch 1.30 (1.030) also includes stability fixes. NHL 23 will include logo-based on-ice projections for the remaining 26 NHL teams.
Previously, a hotfix was also released with some minor changes. Unfortunately, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s NHL 23 version 1.30 will address a few of these issues.

- Fixed an issue causing incorrect matchmaking in HUT Champions
Franchise Mode
- Fixed an issue where draft picks were not transferring after a successful offer sheet.
WHO CAN I PLAY AGAINST?
Players can play against any opposing team within their console generation, but teams must be made up of only one console generation and type. Therefore, teams with all PS5s can play against teams of all Xbox X|S consoles. Teams of all PS4s can play against teams of all Xbox Ones. Cross-console invites will not appear in NHL 23.
