Fortnite Update 20.40 Patch Notes

Epic Game has released a new Fortnite update 20.40 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 20.40 patch notes, the latest update brings various bug fixes for Battle Royale, Save The World, and Creative mode. In addition, today’s Fortnite version 20.40 also includes general stability improvements.

Previously, a major update added new features, new LTM modes, new changes, and much more. Unfortunately, since the later major update, players are facing several issues with the game.

Today’s Fortnite patch v20.40 will address a few of these issues. Read more details below.

Fixed the following issues.

General

• Players do not receive toast notifications while in a match in a party with another player.
• Traps may sometimes not place immediately.

Battle Royale

• The Anvil Rocket Launcher does not show that it is locking on to vehicles as expected. It does still lock on when firing but does not display this.

Creative

• The trackers disappear after a player leaves the game.
• The tracker device does not update correctly for teams when multiple teams are able to use it.
• Players may find that joining a creative game that is already in progress can cause a complete loss of functionality. This issue is now fixed.
• Performance issues when using a vending machine while playing a Creative Island

Save The World

• Legendary perks cannot be changed using perk recombobulator.
• Destroyed beds are not being counted towards quest completion.
