World War Z update 1.42 is rolling out on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the World War Z 1.42 patch notes, the latest update resolves the undying mutator bug, crashing on AMD video cards when using Vulkan API, blurry images on Xbox Series S, and more. Apart from this, Today’s World War Z patch 1.42 also includes stability fixes.
Previously, WWZ update 1.40 added Horde Mode XL with a new map, a new weapons progression system, a new Challenge Mode with mutators, and new weapons. Recently, WWZ update 1.41 also added quality-of-life changes and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last major patch, players are still facing a number of issues with the game. Today’s World War Z Aftermath version 1.42 will address a few of these issues.

General
- Fixed the issue when the character model sometimes doesn’t appear on the selection screen in the Horde Mode menu.
- Fixed the issue when some special zombies receive too much HP, also known as “Undying” in the community.
- Fixed damage modifier in Class Weakness mutator.
- Various Stability fixes.
PC
- Fixed crashing on AMD GPUs when using Vulkan API.
Xbox
- Fixed issues with dynamic resolution causing blurry images on Xbox Series S.
- Fixed looped chatter audio for voice chat.
PlayStation
- Fixed issue with blocked players unable to use muting/unmuting functionality.
