A new eFootball 2023 update 1.17 (2.4.2) is available on PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox One. According to the official eFootball 1.16 patch notes, the latest update adds Liga BBVA MX, MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE and MEIJI YASUDA J2 LEAGUE teams for Trial Match. Apart from this, eFootball update 1.17 also includes various tweaks and changes.
Previously, a major update added quality-of-life changes and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues when trying to play the game. Today’s eFootball 2023 patch 1.17 has addressed a few of these issues.

Additional Features

Updates and Additions
Implemented the following data updates for MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE and MEIJI YASUDA J2 LEAGUE.
・ Strips
・ Balls (only for online Events)
・ Pitch-side advertising boards (only for online Events)
・ Stadium staff tabards (only for online Events)
General Fixes Applied to Mitigate or Eliminate the Bugs Shown Below
・ When playing online matches, the match may be interrupted at the start of a penalty shoot-out, resulting in a voided match.
・ When skipping the automatic replay scene during a match, players may be displayed in a collapsed state.
・ In certain stadiums, some players may not be shown in the pre-match cutscenes.
・ During penalty shoot-outs, the keeper may not react to directional inputs after the taker attempts a Chip Shot.
・ During penalty shoot-outs, the keeper may not be able to save the shot even if he has successfully read the direction of the ball.
・ Texts may be displayed incorrectly in certain languages.
