
Rust update 1.57 is rolling out on PS4 and Xbox One. According to the official Rust Console 1.57 patch notes, the latest update adds a long list of changes and gameplay improvements. Apart from this, Rust patch 1.57 also includes general stability fixes. The Christmas event also ended today after the wipe.
Previously, a major Rust Halloween update 1.54 added a new event, changes and improvements. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s Rust PS4 update 1.57 will fix a few of these issues.

Rust Console Update 1.57 Patch Notes – January 26, 2023
- Partially fixed invalid projectiles
- Adjusted the behavior of Junkpile Scientists to match the release version on Steam
- Fixed an issue causing the scientists to spawn in safe zones
- Fixed the despawn rate of Junkpiles so players can loot them after scientists die
- Fixed various cases of loud audio pop when using rowboat/rhib causing all sounds to disappear
- Fixed in-game music issues with the volume option not working correctly
- Fixed a bug that prevented ‘Give’ button from working correctly when trading with a Metal Shopfront if one side was full
- Fixed issues with Ping settings on the HUD options menu
- Fixed issues with the ‘Take All’ button so it works even if the hotbar is full
- Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting an empty category in a Vending Machine
- Fixed a bug in the Skin Store and Locker RC purchase screen that meant the balance would only update after restarting the game
